Case Details
This 29-year-old pleasant female presents with a chief complaint of a long four head. The patient is displeased with her forehead length beginning at her hairline and extending to her eyebrow. In the after photo shown here, she is three months post forehead reduction surgery. This was performed in the office based setting using using primarily local anesthesia. Orally taken, anxiety reducing medication, was also used for comfort. A trans follicular (hair sparing) pretrichial (within the first few hairs of the front of the hairline) incisional approach is required obtain the
desired result. Deeper sedation or even general anesthesia is available for appropriate patients or patients requesting this type of anesthesia.
