This 27-year-old male is one week after undergoing bilateral otoplasty. The primary objective in correcting this young man’s prominent ears, is to establish an anti-helical fold. He was born without this critical bend in his upper and middle ear cartilage. This procedure is accomplished by placing buried sutures through an incision behind the ear in the natural skin crease.
