Case Details
This 57 year-old pleasant female presented with a chief complaint of visual field obstruction. She complained of a heavy feeling and tiredness on her eyes resulting from laxity and drooping of her upper eyelids and eyebrow. She complained of difficulty seeing to the sides especially while driving and also the constant urge to consciously raise her eyebrow in order to see better. On 02/10/16, she underwent an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and transfollicular subcutaneous brow lift. The after photos presented here were taken on 04/15/16. Because of the severity of her condition, her health insurance covered the upper eyelid blepharoplasty portion of the procedure. Her eyebrow pre-operatively does demonstrate drooping, however her eyebrow is still above the supraorbital rim and she would have still benefitted significantly from the upper eyelid blepharoplasty alone. The patient desired a more complete and aesthetically pleasing result and therefore consented to a browlift which was performed in conjunction with the upper eyelid blepharoplasty procedure.
