Case Details
This is a 34 year old Korean female who presents desiring a more visible upper eyelid double fold. While at first glance she appears to not possess a double eyelid fold, she does in fact have a very small native double fold. She is in pursuit of a more visible double upper eyelid fold and wishes to undergo an asian upper eyelid blepharoplasty. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia although she did take triazolam orally 30 minutes pre-operatively for anxiolysis. The surgical method used was an open approach and permanent buried prolene sutures were used to create and maintain a static upper eyelid double fold. The procedure went smoothly and the post-operative course was uneventful.
